Build a secure, robust personal substitute for Webex Meet in an empty repository.
Use Docker Compose, Jitsi Meet (or a custom WebRTC implementation), a Next.js 15 control panel, PostgreSQL, and TURN.
The core loop is: host private video calls in modest rooms, issue signed room links, and keep recordings only when every participant is clearly informed.
1. Infrastructure: Deploy via Docker Compose with a dedicated TURN service for reliable NAT traversal.
2. Owner Control Panel: Build a comprehensive admin dashboard to manage rooms, issue time-limited signed invitations, set expiry dates, toggle lobby mode (where the host admits guests), and enforce participant limits.
3. In-Meeting Experience: Implement essential collaboration features including screen sharing, a virtual whiteboard, chat, and breakout rooms. Ensure the UI is highly responsive and accessible.
4. Diagnostics: Show real-time connection diagnostics for camera, microphone, browser, bandwidth, and TURN reachability to help users troubleshoot network issues.
5. AI Assistant Integration: Integrate a local Whisper model to provide real-time transcription and closed captioning. Add functionality to generate meeting summaries from the transcript post-call.
6. Recording & Consent: Make recording disabled by default. If enabled, require an explicit on-screen consent state for every participant before recording begins. Store recordings locally with clear retention policies.
